<h2>Work</h2>
<p>
    Preparing for the spike of traffic over peak.
    Struggling with personal moral issues with the company as a whole (everyone I work with is great).
    Putting some last touches on a project that I have been working on for a while, hoping to get it out this week.
</p>
<h2>Life</h2>
<p>
    I am engaged and living with the most wonderful woman I have ever met.
    We have booked a venue and a date!!
    So excited and frees us up to start booking a lot of other stuff.
    Found a wonderful venue that incorporates a lot of nature and is comfortably in our budget.
    Spent every moment outside of work for a week putting together our wedding website, and setting it up for people to RSVP and organize all the data.
    Was so much fun to use my skills to build something for the wedding and makes me feel really connected to the process.

<p>
    Working to find the path that feels right for me career wise.
    Exploring various options and starting to look for places that align personally with my values.
</p>
<h2>Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu</h2>
<p>
    The team here at GB Toronto has become an external family.
    I am so grateful for the community.
</p>
<p>
    Lost at the recent competition to a flying arm bar.
    Was pretty cool if I do say so myself.
    Pulled back on training a bit to balance various activities in life a little better.
    Looking forward to a more relaxed winter season without needing to prep for any competitions.
</p>
<h2>Learning</h2>
<p>
    I am working to learn japanese and portuguese on Duolingo.
    I love the program and it is 100% worth paying for, but the fact that even when paying it keeps asking for ratings, putting widgets on my home screen, or turning on notifications bothers me.
    You already have my money now please don't bother me.
    Finding the lessons really helpful.
</p>
<p>
    Had not realized how much the anki flash cards that I have been making alongside the course were until I got out of sync.
    Did make the time to make new cards for a few weeks and was wondering why I was having such a hard time remembering the new japanese words.
    I didn't have flashcards for them.
    So updated them all today and am now back on track.
</p>
<h2>Tinkering</h2>
<p>
    The last week has been spent entirely on the wedding website.
    Would link here but we have it shut down for guest access only because it contains a lot of personal information.
    It was the first time that I have done any web development work with cookies or authentication systems.
    That was really cool to figure out and implement.
</p>
<p>
    I like that I got to build it myself and have it customized slightly for each guest with a personal message and using proper names instead of general "you" etc.
    Also set up a database to store all the various RSVPs, seating arrangements, and menu choices once we get to that point.
</p>
<p>
    It was the first time that I gave myself a personal project and a short deadline (a week essentially) and hammered it out around work.
    Really pleased with that level of depth and focus, very excited to try and keep that momentum going working on other stuff.
    Some extra things to add to this site, and some other things I have been thinking about.
